Captain Monk is hard to pin Down.

Dark and heavy, but often deeply funky. Psychedlic and dense, but focused and direct. It’s a rock band, sure, but it’s a rock band of top-shelf Bay Area session musicians that can’t help but bring all their influences to the table. Born from the mind of Bay Area-based multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter Jackson Allen, Captain Monk is a band for jazz and funk heads that don’t like rock and for rock fans that think jazz is for lightweights.
